Premiere Weekend

Holy Cannolies. There were two sick premieres in Seattle this past weekend, but it definitely felt like one giant blur of a screenplay. The action kicked off Friday night at The Showbox in downtown Seattle with the World Premiere of Capita's First Kiss.

It was a packed venue and a rockin' show that put one kid on crutches when the night was over. The bassist from Death Valley happened to make his mosh target a twelve year old, but all in fun right? A small price to pay when there's $10,000 worth of swag from companies like Union, Capita, Defcon, Oakley, DC, Dakine and more.

First up on the big screen was Whiteout Films, followed by Skids Sandbox's awesome new filmTime Well Wasted. If you haven't seen the DVD box for this movie, you should definitely check it. It's tight... it's made of balsa wood. Very organic... cause organic's kinda in right now.

After a brief intermission and mosh pit crushing, First Kiss made it's premiere. A well made film that showed a break away from what has been the norm in snowboard films of past. Very artistic and sweet to the eye.
Local band The Girls finished the night out in style by rockin' the house and draining every last bit of youthful energy the audience had. Then it was soberin' up time because there were only a few hours until...

Thanks, Brain! Seattle premiere at EVO! There were like 8 kegs and a beer garden that felt like a sardine can (and, thanks to Gus Engle, it kinda smelled like a sardine can too). Definitely a packed house at the undersized EVO board shop in Fremont, but after a few free beers, everyone is your best friend, so all was good - especially the Think Thank footage. Burtner and crew put on a great show and there was even an appearance by the Spacecraft bunny.
What a weekend.

That movie party was killer. Tons of beer flowed then, the 7-Eleven was right was right round the corner.

Burtner and Sean made a special extended edit of the film just for the premiere -- never seen that done before but that was super cool, since i have already watched that movie 10,000 times (!!) since it's the BEST SB MOVIE EVER MADE. U think I'm joking? watch it...
